I love walking on the beach.
I’m sure you do too, because it’s very relaxing and the scenery is beautiful.
But there is one thing that always makes me very curious.
When I walk along the beach in Spain there are always many restaurants near the beach.
At 6-7 in the evening I see many foreigners eating paella or a veal chop at that time, and no matter how many years go by, and no matter how many times I see it, I still don’t understand it.
Is that Lunch, snack afternoon or dinner in Spain?
You will never see a Spaniard doing that. Paella is always for lunch, but never will be a dinner in Spain. Nor for a snack afternoon.
Although if you’re a Brit or an American who’s been to Spain having paella for dinner, no problem. All my respect. Paella is always good.
Another thing is that I wouldn’t eat it at that time of day. The digestion of paella is very heavy.
Well, in today’s email you already have your share of courage because you already know 3 of the 5 names of meals in Spanish.
Anyway, this is nothing compared to all the value you can find in my newsletter to learn spanish. There you can see many structures and grammar that we Spaniards use in our day to day life.
