Do you use an app to learn spanish?

Many students talk to me and ask me about using an app to learn spanish.

They are very widespread and seem to be very good. But I have my doubts.

There is an application that is widely used and to which I am very, very grateful.

Its owner is a computer scientist from Guatemala who has created several apps.

I’m sure you know it, the name finished in O.

Rubén, How can you be grateful to someone who creates an application to learn languages if that is your job?

Because many people think that with these app to learn spanish they won’t need a teacher.

All my respect for them.

But after using these apps many students find that they can’t learn the language.

They have a lot of doubts and sometimes they don’t know how to use the verbs properly. Or they don’t know why an irregular verb is irregular.

So, for me it’s a very good source to get frustrated learners.

Getting frustrated is not a bad thing, it happens to me sometimes.

They have spent hours on the application and after not getting the results they wanted and spending a lot of time, they have to look for a teacher to guide them, to practice with and to ask about the things they don’t know.

Rubén, so, are you saying that these applications are useless?.

Not at all

They help and can be a complement but they can never replace a teacher.

If you need classes to learn Spanish or if you are using any of these apps but you are not very convinced of the result you can contact me to have classes with me at the following link.

If you are frustrated and it is for other reasons, I don’t think I can help you.
