In today’s newsletter to learn spanish I’m going to treat a tough topic
Did you go to a restaurant for dinner on Saturday?
I did.
In Spain we dine out very often. It is part of our culture and there are many reasons for this.
But I’ll tell you about that another day.
I went to dinner with several friends. There were boys and girls.
And girls eat much less than boys.
It’s not machismo. It’s just that whenever I go out to dinner and we go out with boys and girls, there is always food left over on the girls’ side.
My friends are like a lion that goes 3 days without eating and suddenly they put food in front of it.
He devours it.
And that’s what they do.
So, a really good trick is to sit near the girls. They eat much less and there is always food left over on their side.
Maybe in your culture this doesn’t happen because each person has their individual plate of food, but in Spain it’s normal to order plates to share.
In my newsletter to learn spanish you will have many stories like this every day to know better our culture and how to learn spanish faster
